As Anchor and field correspondent, John has reported throughout Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Whether it’s a PTC (Piece to Camera) to studios in London, NYC or Hong Kong, or anchoring a three-hour morning show in the grip of a breaking news story, broadcast news has been John’s world for most of his life.

Central to it all is effective and captivating storytelling. This may involve the use of anecdotes to inject colour into a story or the ‘point of three” technique to keep it succinct and punchy. Being able to cut through the numbers and drill down into an easy-to-understand story is the essence of effective storytelling.
